When Conant High School senior Athena Saldanha joined the speech team, she was less than enthusiastic about it, and wanted to quite at first.  

For many Palatine High School senior band members, the final concert is not only an exciting event, but also a bittersweet reminder that their time as high school students is coming to an end.  

When District 211 made the decision to eliminate class rank, careful consideration was given to revising the process used to determine which students qualified as Academic Scholars during his or her senior year.  

Out of 500 students to be elected as U.S. Presidential Scholarship semifinalists, 141 scholars were announced, and Hoffman Estates High School senior Mengran "Meran" Liu is one of two students to represent the state of Illinois in Washington D.C.

Since he was 10 years old, Fremd High School teacher Jim Guest said he knew he wanted to work in athletics, and when he was in high school he knew he wanted to teach at the high school level.
